Havre de Grace
Opera House Renovation Project
The Opera House has been a cultural and community centerpiece in Havre de Grace since 1871. From the early days of touring opera companies and Gilbert & Sullivan to dance parties, our public library, and city council chambers, the Opera House filled a need for entertainment, dances, children's activities, and social engagement. This tradition can now be continued into the 21st century with an investment from the people for the people. The New Opera House will serve children's theater and music, touring companies, local performances, music, film, and even business conferences. Long overdue, this new ADA compliant facility will represent the community's commitment to the arts, to the revitalization of our Main Street and Arts and Entertainment Districts and the preservation of its history and access to a state of the art facility for everyone in the area. We need your help to make this project a reality. Please consider contributing to this worthwhile effort by clicking the green button on this page and making a tax deductible donation.
